One of Perth's most unique and versatile up-and-coming performers, Nicholette is an exciting blend of her intercontinental upbringing and diverse musical tastes. Growing up in Singapore and Perth, and having studied and lived in both Paris and the United States, her multilingual and multi-cultural mind was and is open to music spanning across all genres.

As a child she listened to anything from both English and Chinese Pop, to classical and Gospel, and later developed a perennial love for soul, jazz and R&B. To this day, she is greatly influenced vocally and musically by soul and jazz superstars such as Alicia Keys, Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones.

College life in America sparked a deep passion for neo-soul and hip-hop, specifically artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson.paak and D'Angelo. Over her 4 years at the WA Academy of Performing Arts, she was then exposed to and consequentially fell in love with many more artists, such as Esperanza Spalding, Hiatus Kaiyote and Jill Scott.

Her diverse tastes are reflected in her own musical journey, and she can most often be found crooning soulful renditions of well-loved tunes as a solo artist at Perth's most luxurious venues, such as at The Waiting Room's grand piano (Crown Towers Perth), COMO The Treasury, and the Hyatt Regency Perth.

She can also be found playing keys and singing in bands in tribute to artists such as Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse and D'Angelo at the Ellington Jazz Club, and most recently Alicia Keys at the Forrest Centre's Glass Atrium in Perth CBD. Her passion for Gospel music has also led her to be a part of the WAAPA Gospel Choir, collaborating and performing with Melonie Daniels-Walker (US), Perth Symphony Orchestra, as well as Australian hip-hop legends Drapht and Coin Banks.

Lighting up the stage with her commanding presence & fire vocals, you can expect a performance that you won’t forget.
